Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 arrive on Switch next week

With very little time left until the game, Nintendo launched a new trailer for the action game Bayonetta’s 2 Nintendo Switch version from Platinum Games. Originally released for Nintendo Wii U, Bayonetta 2 was ported to Switch and the bundle including the original game as well.

There won’t be any huge changes to the game, except for the frame rate, both games running at 60 fps. The games still run at 720p, but there will be an upgrade in software that will offer a smoother framerate when playing both docked and a handheld mode. This is an important improvement if we’re talking about the Wii U versions when, despite fan expectations, they failed to run at 60 fps.

Another new feature is the amiibo support for Bayonetta 2. Players will be able to unlock costumes based on other Nintendo Characters by using compatible amiibo. Touchscreen mode will be brought back which will be usable with the Switch in handheld mode and co-op.

The content will be pretty much virtually identical, but it will look even more stunning thanks to the increased frame rate that will now offer a smoother play experience, thus giving players a more enjoyable time.

The package that will include Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for Nintendo Switch will be released on February 16, 2018.
