What we know so far...
It’s that time of the year when we hardcore gamers out there prepare for the announcement of the new Call of Duty installment. Usually we must wait until E3 to have a better understanding of the game, although so far we know Treyarch will be in charge this year. Last year COD: WWII was released and for most of the fans, this was the game that got Call of Duty its popularity back. After the low acceptance COD: Infinite Warfare had, fans around the world are keeping their eyes open to the announcement of the new Call of Duty game.
Treyarch usually equals to great news to those COD: Black Ops fans. This is the company that gave us the Nazi Zombies back when Call of Duty: World at War released for PS2, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 back in 2008. Most fans would agree that the zombie mode was much better in the later Black Ops series, and these fans are the ones most anxious for the announcement of a new game in the series. Lately, rumors have been going around the web about the new Call of Duty’s game, and this series fans are the most hyped about this rumor.
What is coming this 2018.
On February 4th, video game journalist Marcus Sellars shared a tweet that mentioned this series new installment; Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Sellar stated this would be more of a 'boots on the ground' based game. It is not hot news that their most recent game, WWII got much better reviews than Infinite Warfare (2016).
Earlier today, during an earnings call, Treyarch confirmed the tweet posted by Marcus Sellars; Treyarch is developing the new Call of Duty game. You should keep an eye out for confirmation during the E3 for further details.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops series is the bestselling series, above COD: Modern Warfare and COD: World War 2. The best zombie mode came from this series, and a new installment will bring us new maps and new missions to shoot our way through.
