Dragon Ball FighterZ

2018 comes along with many interesting games to look forward to. One of them is specifically Dragon Ball Z which will make its appearance on the same day as Monster Hunter World, on 26th of January.

It feels like Christmas all over again. Are you excited? Well, you should be, as the 2.5D game created by Arc System Works and distributed by Bandai Namco, the popular characters from the Dragon Ball universe will come together giving us a lot of intense fighting scenes.

Up until now, there have been many Dragon Ball games with lots of action scenes, but this one will be supposedly the first concentrating on fights which can remind us of other big games like Street Fighter.

Let’s take a look at the trailer below in case you’ve missed it.

At a first glimpse, the game looks way more dynamic and much closer to the series of anime and the details and the animations are giving the game a much more fresh look

Characters like the notorious Goku, Vegeta or Piccolo will all be there to fight with along with the vivid colors and the famous yellow hairdos that will give the game the reputation that precedes it. You can also expect two new characters, Nappa and Captain Ginyu.

One of the interesting facts is that the game will now use the Tag Battle mechanics which basically allows you to create a team of three characters which you can change during the game at any time, giving you a tactical map and three different perspectives and you will be able to unveil the entire storyline after you follow each perspective.

For the first part and from Saiyan’s perspective you will follow throughout the Super Warriors Arc, followed by the Super Villain Arc presented by the opponent’s perspective, ending with Android Arc, from the android’s side.

Participating at different fights from the three chapters, the players will be able to level up their heroes and to better understand the complex scenario which Dragon Ball FighterZ has to offer.

Whether you’re a fan or not of the popular series, you might be impressed by the two new gaming modes that will certainly surprise the young gamers or the veterans that might expect something new from DBZ. Circle Match and World Match.

If you’re into intense combat action, then the Circle Match is for you, giving you the opportunity to step in the arena along with 8 more players, fighting at the same time.

If you’re on the competitive side and you feel like the champion you are, the World Match allows you to show off your skill while playing Ranked or just Casual if you’re feeling chill.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Steam.
