Diet,Training, and Fitness

The relationship between diet and fitness cannot be overemphasized. Inadequacies in one aspect can hamper the growth of the other. A proper diet would ensure a good fitness program or a right individual while a good fitness programs me would bring out the result of healthy eating. A proper diet and a healthy body are like a car and the fuel it needs to function effectively. The diet is like the fuel, while our body is like the car. Can a vehicle operate without fuel? Will the fuel be useless without a good car? These are the questions to be answered in this speech through the following factors to be considered when combining diet with fitness.

  1. Timing: The timing of your feeding determines what you will eat; there are different types of food to be eaten before, during, or after a grueling training session. Different diet requirements are depending on your level of activity. Before a training session, Fast acting carbohydrates like banana, wheat bread are necessary to supply the body with a constant source of glucose throughout the session. During a workout, fluids are needed to replace electrolyte and water that are lost through sweating. The fluids could include water or sports drinks to replace the lost electrolyte. After a workout, the primary goal is to replenish the glycogen store with a well-balanced meal rich in carbohydrate and protein. This balanced meal should be supplemented with adequate fluid intake
  2. Balance: Creating a balance between the goals we want to achieve and the sacrifice we are ready to make is a vital factor in looking good while dieting. If you're going to look like a bodybuilder, you can’t plan for someone that just wants to look good. If you're going to add more muscle mass and lose fat, you have to make protein a priority when planning your meal and have to control your carbohydrate intake. Always create an avenue for excesses, I usually advise 90 percent dieting and 10 percent channel for cheat days, and miscellaneous feeding like parties. Learn to strike a balance between dieting and living life itself.
  3. Be purposeful and set realistic goals: The most important thing you need to do is to ask yourself why you are dieting and working out. Your reasons for your reasons would determine your action and drive. Setting realistic short-term goals is necessary for achieving a good result. Dividing our long-term goals into more concise realistic goals that are achievable. Small wins like this serve as motivation for the more prominent Making little progressive changes to diet is the best way to achieve your set goals. For example, reducing all your favorite junks into smaller portions before removing them from your diet.

A good fitness program or a healthy body can’t be achieved without a good nutrition program in the same way a Good car can’t work efficiently without a good source of fuel. Achieving a goal of having a healthy body, requires you to know what you want, why you want it, eat the right type of food at the right time and strikes a balance between your personal life and your fitness goals.
