State of Decay 2 will be an AAA game but will not have a price of AAA game. Microsoft revealed that Undead Labs State of Decay 2 will be released on May 22. for PC and Xbox One. Furthermore, Microsoft also confirmed a price point of $29.99USD/$49.95AUD for the Standard Edition and $49.99USD/$69.95AUD for the Ultimate Edition. State of Decay 2 will also be a Play Anywhere title, which means that players that play on both Microsoft's platforms will basically have 2 copies for the price of one, and it will also be available through Xbox's Game Pass subscription. Aforementioned Ultimate Edition of the game will include early access to the game on May 18, a free Xbox One copy of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition as well as the Independence Pack and Daybreak Pack DLC, which will be released at a TBD date.

We will see if a setting lower price for platform exclusive AAA game will produce good results.
